Flowtron electronic fly control devices combine ultraviolet black light energy with exclusive reflector panels and a special fly attracting pheromone (sex lure) to provide powerful fly control units that are ecologically safe, effective and economical to operate. Flies and other light-sensitive flying insect pests are attracted by the ultraviolet light and special lure and are eliminated as they fly through the electro statically charged killing grid. Dead insects drop out of sight into a sanitary, removable collection chamber. The FC-8800 is designed for either indoor or outdoor use and is ideally suited for installation in restaurants, food processing plants, retail food stores, meat-packing plants, barns, stables or wherever flies are a threat to health and sanitation codes and where the use of toxic chemicals is dangerous, undesirable or banned. Glo-tube reflectors intensify blacklight radiation for enhanced luring power. Patented, high efficiency, vertical rod killing grid eliminates grid clogging. Controlled grid power provides sure, clean kills with no airborne contamination. Includes FREE fly sex lure (Pheromone). Sex lure increases effectiveness in attracting and killing house and garbage flies. Specifications: Three high-intensity 40-watt ultraviolet bulbs. Indoor or outdoor use. I bought this and put it next to my chicken coop where it could have the added effect of killing the flys that congregate by the chickens outdoor run. I have about a 2 acre back yard and where it is placed the light can be seen from most of it. It's hanging outside plugged into a GFCI outdoor outlet I set up. It kills thousands of bugs and she went from getting bit every night to getting about 3 bites in the 3 weeks I had it running. She is very happy. I have the fly lure on it in addition to an octenol lure I put inside of it. A modification I did was to drill a tiny hole in the bottom of the collection pan so that water could drain out when it rains. I cleaned it once a week with compressed air. My chickens go ballistic when I bring dead insect catcher to them. A dozen chickens can eat an inch of bugs in the collection pan in about 5 minutes. So I... Not only did this bug get fried, but after much electrocution, it was set on fire for our amusement. Mosquitoes, flies, grasshoppers, etc. nothing is ready for this potent product.
